WHAT IS SOCIAL SKILL? 

Social skill is nothing but a form of competence that consequences interaction and communication where social normative patterns are created and intertwined as it’s reciprocated and with the reciprocation, changes occur in terms of verbal and nonverbal way. Through the process of socialisation, this skill can be possessed by anyone and lack of skill can consequence in social awkwardness. Thus social skill facilitates communication, learning, asking for assistance or help thereby get along with others, and with all these traits healthy relationship accompanying protection for themselves and harmonious interaction with the society can be well-knitted. By possessing social skills an individual comprises of special character traits such as trustworthiness, respectfulness, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship accompanied by the development of allowance for making good choices in thinking and behaviour which results in social competence. Interpersonal skills are nothing engages and facilitate with interaction which is related to several categorical division such as dominance vs. submission, affiliation vs. Aggression, love vs. hate, control vs. autonomy.(Leary,1957) .Positive interpersonal skills involve factors like active listening, persuasion delegation, stewardship, and social psychology is dealing with research work related to social skills accompanied by study reports which reflect upon how skills are learned by individuals through attitude change, behavior, and thought process.
